….with my purchase of the ElectroVoice 309a custom RE-20 shock mount (get it HERE<\/a>) for my big-boy mic. I love this thing. It makes this mic look like a ray gun or something a dentist would use to x-ray your mouth. It really should win a design prize somewhere…Maybe on another planet or in LibPar, but somewhere.<\/p>\n

It also totally kicks butt at holding this giant mic, and doesn’t cover the side vents, which are important, they provide the Variable-D functionality, which is why the RE-20 is so widely directional and also has very little proximity effect. All this makes the RE-20 (with this shock mount) the best mic in the world, in my opinion for broadcasting.
\n(This shock mount also works for the EV RE-320, which Neema has, and the RE-27, which is what Free Talk Live has four of. Those are both great mics, and have slightly more high end and volume, giving a more “modern” sound. But I love the retro-60s charm sound of the RE-20, myself.)<\/p>\n
